Mountain Bike Trails in Maryland

Well if your looking for a fun and easy trail to just ride go to Loch Raven. Loch Raven is probably one of the best trails I know of. When I rode it it was just as I liked it. Loch Raven is a twisted winding trial that has hills and jumps. This trail is amazing for begginers to get used to riding in the woods.

If your Looking for a fast paced flat trail go to Monkton train station. The Monkton trail is worn, flat and best of all, LONG. This trail goes all the way up to Pennyslvania and back. It is also wide so you don't need to worry about walkers who get in the way. This trail is good for people who like to ride their bike without worry about crashing from a root or turn, or maybe that darn tree that happened to jump in front of you.

Gunpowder State Park is also a fun one although it is sort of short. One problem about this trail is that it gets very small quick and has many rocks later on. The trail however provides a great view of either side of the Gunpowder. Gunpowder also has 4 trails to choose from 1 for walking only and 3 for biking. You can also take a walk on a bike trail and hike up in the mountains to see the deer and wildlife.

The little Gunpowder trail about where Harford County begins is also i good one to ride, its new and fun. The Little Gunpowder trail I do not know much about because I have only been on it once and didn't go that far. All I know is that it is not well known and I haven't seen over 2 cars there at a time. If you want a little private time to ride or just like to go into the woods this is the one for you.
